Primary Care
- Sick Visits (common illnesses)

Onsite dispensing for non-controlled medications is currently allowed per latest review of pharmacy law but is always subject to a complete review based on the particulars of the formulary, health center staff composition and any changes to law.
Health Maintenance and Prevention:
- Biometric Screening (individual in-house follow-up and new hire screenings only)
- Blood pressure, height, weight, & body mass index
- General health maintenance
- Detailed health history including symptoms, family history, & social history
- Comprehensive Medical Examination
- Lifestyle Risk Reduction – behavioral modifications related to physical activity, smoking, diet, stress, weight loss management, cholesterol and blood pressure to name a few.

- Disease Management – For individuals with chronic diseases ( for example Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Depression, Thyroid High Cholesterol)

Medicine is my ministry. Growing up the daughter of a preacher I have
learned my life’s calling – medicine- early in life so my desire to be more
hands on with my patients comes so very natural. However, with the
current system this has gotten very hard for me to operate in my ministry
freely. Due to my intense desire to operate fully in my ministry I feel that
Direct Primary Care fits my personality and vision and articulates perfectly
how I want to practice medicine. This allows me to eliminate the middle
man and to directly work with YOU the patient on how to meet YOUR
needs.
Dr. Alisha Bennett, DO
Board Certified Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Alisha Thompson Bennett is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician, best selling author, blogger, mentor, speaker, transformational coach, and most importantly- a wife and mom. Born and raised in Hueytown, Alabama, she spent the last 10 years running a hospital based clinic at the hospital at which she was born. Talk about full circle! She is now ECSTATIC to be helping run the Brownstone BWell clinic serving the employees of the City of Birmingham.
She is a proud graduate of Talladega College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and later completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. She then completed residency at the University of Alabama.
She is happily married, with 3 bonus children and 1 biological child- Langston who is a former 23 weeker micropreemie. She is an Autism mom and is also the founder and CEO of Miracles and MILEStones, LLC which provides support to NICU parents and parents of children with special needs-most especially working parents.

The telehealth and in-person visits are $0 to the employee
There are two locations one in Downtown Birmingham and the other in Trussville so the employees can come to either place for care in addition to telehealth visits. There is no copayment for either and care will be offered within 48 business hours of the request.
In this clinic, you will have access directly to the doctors/providers via phone/text/ and email which you usually do not have with your regular doctor. We are there for acute or chronic illnesses. We also offer weight loss visits.
In-person visits at the Trussville location are available as soon as June 14th. Downtown location in-person visits are starting July 6th

All employees, spouses, and dependents who are on the city insurance plan.
No there is not.
Yes, you can do telehealth visits however you may still need to come by the clinic (either location ) for blood work/ urine as needed.
